=Datafield settings=
From the Connect App or Garmin Express software you can adjust the a lot of parameters:<br />

Choose "Heartrate", "Pace" or "Power" as basis for your training metrics. These metrics will be visible on the display and will be used for calculating your training zones.
If you choose a metric that is not present during training (i.e. you choose "Power" but there is no power data) the display will automaticaly show a metric that is available.<br />

On the other hand the datafield will record all available metrics in the background. So you can compare your performance und do some data analysis after the workout on the Garmin Connect plattform.<br /><br />

In case your watch has a vibration alarm you can enable/disable vibration alarm here. The alarm will be triggered anytime your zone increases (one short vibe) or decreases (two long vibes). Please note that the alarm will not trigger again if you transition through more zones at once (within a time window of 7 seconds), so you will not get confused if the vibration is triggered a few times.<br /><br />

To correctly define your heartrate zones please enter your Lactate threshold heartreate here (numeric value between 120 and 200 bpm). The datafield will calculate your run zones automatically from this value as defined by the 80/20 training system. To find your personal LTHR please refer to the 80/20 instructions (basically this is the heart rate you should be able to keep up for an one hour run).
<br /><br />If you like you can use the value of your Garmin user profile instead. For this enable the option '''Use heartrate from user profile''', the numeric value entered below will not have any effect then. The benefit of using the user profile is that most Garmin watches estimate and readjust the LTHR automatically after your workout. So your zones will always be estimated very accurately. The drawback is that you have to check and set up your user profile at least once, so that the datafield gets the correct values. And in case something changes in the profile later by accident you may run into wrong zone calculation, so you should be aware of your user settings all time.<br /><br />

To correctly define your run pace zones please enter your Functional threshold pacce here. Enter the value in format "MM::SS" for minutes and seconds, i.e. 04:05 for 4 minutes and 5 seconds per km/mile. The datafield will calculate your run zones automatically from this value as defined by the 80/20 training system. To find your personal FTHPace please refer to the 80/20 instructions (basically this is the pace you can run at for one hour).
<br /><br />Please note that the pace can be set in minutes per mile or in minutes per kilometers. The unit will automatically taken from your watch settings (open the options menu of your watch and go to Settings -> System -> Units -> Pace/Speed and choose "Kilometers" or "Miles" whichever is your preference.<br />

To correctly define your run power zones please enter your Functional threshold power in Watts here. The datafield will calculate your power zones automatically from this value as defined by the 80/20 training system. To find your personal FTHPwr please refer to the 80/20 instructions (basically this is the power you can run at for one hour).
<br /><br />Please note that power will only show up when you've connected a run power pod as (bike) power meter in your watch sensor settings (also see notes below!). This is not possible with all run power meters, only the Stryd power meter for example gives this option. The Garmin HRM Tri belt or Garmin run pod can't be used for this application unfortunately. If you don't have a power meter or the power meter can't be bound as power meter sensor, you will not get any power reading from the 80/20 Run datafield, instead it will show pace or heartrate, whichever is available when starting the activity. Also power will not show up in your Garmin Connect statistics after the training. So in case you don't have a power meter just let the value as it is, it will not have any effect for your training.<br />

As the power output of your sensor may have some variation it is recommended to use the moving average of power values for a given amount of time instead using every single value that comes from the sensor. Here you can set the number of power values/time in seconds that has passed that is used for calculating the moving average. The higher the value, the less variation you will see in the power value. But the drawback is that there will be some delay before the power value changes when increasing or decreasing the effort.<br />

A value of around 3 should give you some good amount of smoothing without getting too much delay.

When you're using the power sensor you can activate here that the datafield stores your power data as "Run power" in your Garmin Connect activity for later reference. In case you're using other apps/datafields for processing the power data in parallel with the 80/20 Run datafield you can disable recording power here in case the other app/datafield does store the power already. This prevents from getting redundant data in your Garmin Connect activity.<br />

Obviously you can set here an individual background color for the 80/20 datafield. Please not that this may have no effect when not using the datafield in fullscreen mode as color settings may be overridden by the watch software.<br />

* '''Show 80/20 ratio in'''
In fullscreen mode the datafield shows lap time and time in zones in rotating order alternating every 4 seconds. Here you can choose whether to show time in zones as time in hour:minutes:seconds or as a percentage ratio of time in low zones compared to time in high zones.<br />

= Run Power =
To measure run power with a STRYD power meter, this must be bound to your Garmin watch as RUN POD as well as POWER METER (!). The "Stryd App" does not require this, it can work without binding the sensor as power meter. But for the 80/20 Run datafield <b>it is a must to bind the sensor as power meter!</b> If you don't do this, the 80/20 datafield will not display power and show "No data" instead.<br />
<br />
Note that some watches like older Garmin Forerunner won't allow to connect to a (bike) power meter, as these watches were not designed for supporting bike power. So you will not be able to use power with these devices, even though you can see power using the native Stryd app (as this can decode the ANT+/bluetooth data stream of the STRYD directly)! Also Garmin HRM Tri and Run belts and Garmin Run Pods can't be used for measuring power with the 80/20 as these don't allow to read generic power data as well!<br />
